Who we are
Refactθ is a trading name of Borman (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/834960/07, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described here, under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Our Information Officer
Questions and requests about your personal information go to our Information Officer at privacy@refact0.com.
What we collect
- When you send an enquiry: your name, email address and what you need and, if you enquire for an organisation, your company and budget range.
- When you message us on WhatsApp or email us: your contact details and what you send.
- When you visit this site: our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
We don't set cookies for analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter out malicious traffic.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, prepare and deliver our services.
- To keep this site and our systems secure.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for marketing you haven't asked for.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run our services, under their data protection terms:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and delivers website enquiries to our inbox.
- Zoho, which hosts our email.
- Google, which serves the fonts on this site.
- Meta, if you contact us on WhatsApp.
We share information with anyone else only when the law requires it. Some of these providers process information outside South Africa; we use them only where POPIA's conditions for cross-border transfers are met.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry while we deal with it. If it doesn't lead to work, we delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep records for the engagement and for as long as the law requires afterwards.
How we protect it
We limit who can see it, protect it with access controls, and encrypt it in transit.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email privacy@refact0.com; we may need to confirm your identity first.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
